Unfortunately, with sun, wind and rough roads, I once again was forced to SAG this time at the half way point of our ride. That means this week I have missed a whole day and have 140kms to make up. Not fun.
What is fun is the whole "ripped" calves discussion that is continuing. So here is a picture of some of the people who have commented on my legs and see if you can identify who they belong to. The people are Brian, Ed, Gayle, Sarah, Stephanie and Julia. List your guess in order of the picture from left to right as a comment.
It's a tough one....we all look great!

What do I win if I get it right???
Hi Gayle,
You make me laugh out loud when I read your blog. Thank you! It's the detail in this life that God loves us to stop and enjoy.
Your legs are on the far left. I don't know the others but the order in gender is....Gayle, guy , gal, guy,gal gal.
I'm praying for you that you persevre, stay healty and continue to show your sense of joy in the ride.Again thanks for the laughs and the insights.
Well, considering I don't know the other folks in question, I'll just identify your young cattle: the pair on the far right of the photo.
2nd from the left. I've cycled behind those.
Of course, that was before 5 weeks of C2C, so maybe your muscles have changed... :-) ;-)
I notice, though, that you seem to have carefully made sure that your tat is hidden.

Hello to Dan and Kristy!
I generally notice people's faces, and not much else, so I'll go with Art's choice of second from the left.
We're back from camp -- had a great time! Fun, relaxing, and spiritually refreshing too. This year, Theo wanted to do "everything" so he did several firsts this year -- first time kneeboarding (sitting on the instructor's lap), wall climbing, fishing, polar dipping and blobbing. He did not want to miss out on any of the fun.
So today is getting caught up on people's blogs, and tomorrow is finishing the laundry and packing for the Cadet camporee for Gerrit. I have to check on how the garden and the weeds have grown while we were away too. We got 2 1/4" of rain in that time. Our volunteer vines are producing some round and green globes -- perhaps watermelons? We had some ripe tomatoes waiting for us when we came home yesterday. Nice addition to our store bought supper as we were exhausted from driving home through traffic jams and sudden patchy downpours.
duh - i know you gayle. you are second from the left!
you look awesome ...
sorry i don't know the others, but let them know that they have great calves too!
still praying for you,
robin
my legs...are pretty good looking... on the far right...then yours gayle...
when are you going to mention to the rest of the suckers out there who need to know us by our calves?
Second from the right aren't Gale's [sic], they're tree trunks.
Howdy Gayle, I have been loving your blog since the journey began. I am so excited because our church is going to host a rest/refreshment stop on Wednesday morning. I am hoping to be there. I would love to meet you if you stop or else I'll just wave as you scoot on by. Its Bethel CRC in Lansing, IL. I'll leave you a post on Tuesday night if I am able to be there. have a super-duper great joy filled day. Bev
Hi Gayle,
I saw your request from a few days ago about a sewing machine. I didn't answer it then, but I have an old sewing machine that could be used. The problem is that it is in Grand Rapids and not out in Iowa. If you still need it when you get here, let me know.
