I'm not writing much about today as I am, once again, battling a migraine from extended sun and rough roads. I was able to complete 132kms of 138kms before the SAG tried to get my medication to me and instead I allowed myself to be picked up. Again this evening, I have been loved and cared for by this community, including today's sweep team that stayed with me while we work together to get to SAG support.
It is my hope with meds and sleep I will be able to start early tomorrow, go back and complete the 6kms before starting the next route. Your prayers are appreciated. It is frustrating to have your head wearing out when your body isn't.
I pray that the after effects of the car accident does not continue to impead my ride or cause undue hardship on the SeaToSea community.

You go girl!! From reading some of the blogs sounds like a killer day all around, and you made it within 6K!! I know you are the one actually turning the cranks, but I hope you feel how we are all behind you here at First London. And we are praying for you. God's blessing on you as you ride today, Gayle. See you in GR!
Pieter
Hi Gayle - Keep on smelling the roses. You are a goodwill ambassador and representative for the Sea to Sea cause, for our countries US and Canada, and a witness to God's work in you.
Blessings and strength for the next part of the ride.
Rini
Hey Gayle:
I know how important it is to you to bike EFI "every fabulous inch" and so hope you were able to go back and do those 6k you missed yesterday. Sounds like yesterday was a rough day on tour for a lot of people, so don't beat yourself up too much for taking the SAG. Keeping yourself healthy and being able to get up and continue the next day is what's important. You need to know that everytime a group of us church people get together your name invariably comes up and it is always with love and encouragement that we speak of you. YOU ROCK OUR SOCKS GIRLFRIEND!!!!
It's hot as the dickens here too, although much more humid, I'm sure, than there. Summer is plugging along in SW Ontario just waiting for a whole group of cyclists to come barrelling through. We'll make sure we have LOTS of ice.
Cheers
Heather
We're rooting for you!
The kids just finished a week at vacation bible school with a space theme of Cosmic City. They really enjoyed it, and we've been singing and rocking to the songs from the cd in our car. One catchy song has the lyrics that is my prayer for you today. (We'll have to let you hear the cd when you get back!)
God of power,
give me strength.
God of mercy,
show me grace.
God of wisdom,
I want to know you more,
to honour you.
Hi Gayle,
You don't know me but I'm following your blog. It is entertaining and I too am glad that you are taking the time to see things on your tour. I can't believe I've lived this long without seeing a milking carousel. Do the cows get gravol in their feed? Anyway I admire your stamina and hope the migraine will pass. You are doing so well. I'll pray for you to make it through.
Gayle,
You also don't know me or my family, but we've been following your blog since you passed through our town (Twin Falls, Idaho). We think we actually saw you when you rode through Twin as your bike is distinct from the rest. We love your spirit, and are pulling for you! I'm sure it's hard, but it sounds like you're having the most fun...and making it memorable.
With our best wishes,
A family in Twin wishing you luck-
keep up your spirit! my son biked the tour in 2005, his "group" always came in late with many comments being made. BUT, he had the trip of his life and now Justin, with the tire shotgun, is biking this trip with you! so enjoy God's creation!
thanks for being there for Justin that day! I will be praying for your migraine's to end.
Renita
