General Thoughts and Details

OK so first I may be posting a few blogs at a time. Seems satellite web service is harder to aquire than we had hoped so if you are reading you might want to scroll down and check other posts. We are updating and checking messages as soon as possible. I swear!

The food has been fabulous. Kudos to a kitchen staff that has never worked together before and in a completely new kitchen for having food for 170 people ready on time and not over cooked everytime! As someone who has cooked for groups, I can honestly say…if that’s not a miracle, I don’t know what is! Completely hooked on Nuttter Butter cookies which are not available in Canada. Not Good.

Everyone has, at some point, has given me a hard time about the weird stuff I packed. On the flipside, I have been able to supply every request and solve every problem that someone has come to me with. It may seem like weird stuff but it’s been very useful!

Pray for sleep. I’m not doing well without my meds(cold turkey not a good way to stop).

Headphones and bicycle chains don’t mix…but now we know who wins.

Have met really amazing people and am mixing well with both the older crew and the young whipper snappers. Working on getting eveyone’s name down. Really missing my short term memory.

Thank you, for all the comments and encouragement. We(the Opas and I) read them as soon as we can and are touched by you support and encouragement. We miss you too and are looking forward to coming home and seeing you all.

Gayle, heard you on BX93 this morning... that was unbelievably chipper. Very Pollyanna. I hope you parked your tent away from everyone, or at least *warned* them that your alarm would be going off so early for this interview!

How many degrees of separation is it again? Did you know that Patricia Rozema (director of An American Girl) is originally CRC from Sarnia, went to Calvin with us, has been a guest artist in Pieter's film class, yada, yada, yada?
Just when did you squeeze those flicks in, anyway? Do you have an international pass? Did you take the Opas with you?
God grant you good slumber for new opportunities tomorrow.
(Jonathan's at Forest Cliff Camp and Pieter's at "The Preaching Oasis" at Calvin Sem -- sounds like it should include pina coladas under palm trees. . . took his bike along of course!)
