Yesterday, I was discussing the challenges of new bikes with Margaret. She asked how it was going with the Black Pearl and I said really well. Art added that he liked the pearl but it still had some pretty fat tires on it. I reminded him that I had a pretty fat body that had to be balanced on those tires so they are just fine. Art's defense was that competitive riders like Armstrong and such would easily weigh the same as me...Yes, but they are also about 6-12inches taller and solid muscle. I'm willing to bet that if we took John VanderSteen's body width to tire width ratio and compare it to mine...I would have skinnier tires!.....John, I need your specs!
