6 Months from today. 182 days to prepare. 4369 hours to go. 262, 080 minutes slipping away.
That is when Sea To Sea takes off from Seattle, WA. I wonder what that first day will be like. The excitement of anticipation and nervousness. Even with the time change, I'm hoping that by this time, on that day, I will have completed my day's cycling quota, have my tent set up and be enjoying dinner with my summer community. I'll be on my way home.
If there is anything that I have been reminded of this year is the fact that life can change in an instant and often does. I have quite the journey to complete in this 6 month time frame. To be ready and prepared for the actual Sea To Sea trek.
Last year at this time, Sea To Sea wasn't even on my thoughts. I wonder what surprises will be put before me in the new year.
When I think about preparing for Sea To Sea, I wonder if it is even possible. Can I truly grasp what this adventure will require of me? What I will learn from it? How it will change my world? How it will change who I am?
The next 6 months will be a challenge, harder than I had ever thought. All I can do is put my faith in God, with the assurance that I am suppose to be doing this.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen"Hebrews 11:1
That's really what Sea To Sea is right now. I look forward to making it a summer of memories.
Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe that its only half a year until it all begins! But when I look back and see where I was 6 months ago, it makes it easier to believe that I will be fully prepared 6 months from now.
This will definitely be a test of faith though.
I'm so excited! I sure hope these 6 months fly by and then the 2 months while we are gone are nice and slow :)
