It was just a month ago that I headed out on the bike-hike-bike run with Rob and George. It was an overwhelming goal. I was nervous and worried. With the guys much needed encouragement and support I did it.
A month has passed. A lot has changed. Including the new bike-now known as the Black Pearl. Daily rides have become routine. And surprisingly, the Komoka Bike-hike-bike is now something I do a few times each week. Who'd of thought?
So much that has come from this decision has been pleasant surprises. My church community has been extremely supportive and involved. My friends constantly cheering me on and checking up on me. And my body not giving out. That this daily routine and exercise has really become ordinary and routine.
I have been truly blessed in life in so many ways. I wonder why I'm still surprised at the good things and people that are given to me.
Next year, I will be half way done the Sea to Sea challenge. I wonder what will seem ordinary and routine then that today would sound ridiculous? I wonder what blessings this holds in store for me? I wonder whatever can I do to show my gratitude for all that I am being given?
