I realized I had forgotten to let everyone know about one of the great blessings that came after my article in the local news paper. Joe Botnick, a regional sales manager for Ryder sunglasses was inspired by the story and the Sea To Sea venture that his company donated new sunglasses and aluminum water bottles for our ride.
Very cool. Ryder are great sunglasses Canadian designed and made and usually deal with the endorsement of "serious" dudes in cycling. They are not connected to the CRWRC or the CRC...just happy to help some regular folks try and do something more and are going to be following our ride and featuring us in their company news letter.
