When we last left our Hero......

Ok...so it was almost a month ago since I last blogged. Many things have been taking up my time but let me first give some details.
First. The Un-Wedding Party! What a blast! Here I am on my bike and with my un-garter.

And instead of gift my friends and family were very generous to give donations to Sea To Sea...about $4000. THANK YOU!
What a fun way to raise funds! I highly recommend it to other riders....do you really need more stuff?

Also we had the great ugly Bride's maid dress competition. 18 beautiful women and my friend Geoff were my supporters and the best entertainment.

It was a night of great food, great fun and great people. One of the reasons I haven't been blogging has been that I have been trying to get all the thank you cards done. There are worse burdens than having too much thanks to give!

The greatest gift though was the chance to feel like me again. For the first time since the accident, I felt like myself again...if only for 4 hours. Thanks everyone....Hope is always a gift that is welcome.

Other activities that have been keeping me busy are training and physio. I'm up to 2 hours a day on the bike...feeling good and really wanting to get back on the road. My speed isn't where I need it to be 16kms/hr but that will come.

Of course LOST is back on Thursday nights so needless to say that has been a distraction....I was trying to cycle during the show but it was too engaging! Totally lost concentration.

But the count down continues with only 125 days to go! I have some great fund raising stories but I will post them later this week.
Oh yeah..can't forget the babies

I can't believe how big they are...twice their size since they cam home. Murphy really enjoys their company. Chester's nipping is under control. And both of them are playful and affectionate...wedging deeper into my heart each day. I'm going to miss them this summer while I'm on the road.

Great to get an update from you. Good to hear that you're back on your bike. Keep it up! David

I'd say I've missed out on a couple opportunities to train since Survivor and Lost have started up also. Tivo helps.
